too little grip especially in the slower corners. Worst were T1 and T5. Car would just slide way too long before I could step back on the throttle.

Anyway... it's all excuses. It's just me being slow...
no preparation didn't help ofc..

aside from that I had a decent race and at times I was able to focus well. so, good training-race I guess.

grats podium
& thx David for the work

Yesterday already I was so close to a coveted challenge victory... and yet, in fact still so far.

I saw you in my Pribluda on place 1, but in fact i was so busy driving that i was astonished to be 3rd. you might have been gotten a hit or a spin before end.

Jens... has made a start in Kyalami on Sunday.

He was sitting at his PC and browsing the internet, Iestyn told him: eolc Race soon.

Jens started Vroc for the first time, luckily it worked. untested.

The pc is old, the perfoirmance bad, the firefox browser had Nasscar racing and a tv programme running and 12 tabs open so GPL was stuttering a lot and the loud tv programme was overnoising the gpl sound. adverse conditions.

Jens had driven some laps in the new can am71 mod in hockenheim 67 and in the f2 car two weeks before. despite it was mods this is why he had some little practice in gpl after a looong break of quite 2 years and only little racing in the years before this break...

in fact he also raced iestyn in rio cuarto with a BRM 3 weeks ago, where he did astonishing performance in the eolc, without knowing the track finishing second - in a BRM against lotus and ferraris and top guys! and against iestyn - Jens spun 2 laps before the end by braking too late, because he was going slow and saving engine life....

well, i am proud of the Kyalami race because when i joined i had 8 seconds left, sat in the car, drive half a lap ... and then before the start i put in A LOT of fuel. i had 20 liters left at the finsish.

despite a crash into a Honda in the early stage of the race which was stopped by a spinning eagle finishing 3rd is not too bad, my fastest lap was 0.19s off the Lotus who announced a 1:17.9 before the race...
WITHOUT any practice or even qualifying and the amount of fuel left, i could even have made the fastest lap against such lotus performance....

after 3 or 5 laps i came back into the flow of knowing track... still i couldnt cotrol the car, my setups are heavy oversteer when i stopped 2010 with my efforts.

looking at some overtakings where the car accelerated like SUPER GRIP i will simply be so daft and tell that i am delighted by my own performance , it was a real joy to see how the speed increased and increased ... but if i had practiced it would not have been so much fun, because life is not planning, but jumping into ice cold water
no mistake. no practice. good pace. all learnt quickly in race.

BUT all this is because the drivers were GOOD GENTLEMAN, very calm and not so heavy in the duels: conservative fighting was the way to go!!!! no ramming!

it was so great to see all the cars moving so much! slide and swerve!

i was glad to save the replay and turn off the TV in the background on my desktop after the race

i admire kelvin, his car was very stable, amybe because of his driving, maybe because of his setup! but he anticipated early when i tried to overtake, he surely had a lot of race craft.
also the BRM, maybe Steffen Krisch and Fabian in his Honda!

on the other hand the very fastest drivers took Lotus and therefore we had a bunch of 3 in their own league. with a brm the racing would be more even
