| Nach Beenden setups und player gelöscht | |
ein kumpel bekommt seit ewigkeiten sein gpl nicht mehr zum laufen.
hab ihm kurzerhand meins geschickt. er fuhr seit 2006.
er hat jetzt vista. startet er gpl läuft alles top.
nach dem beenden und 2. start sind aber alle setups weg und der player ist auch weg.
sowas gabs galub ich mal, dass gpl den spieler löscht. aber wann ist das?
hat einer ne idee, lösungen?
oder findet gpl wegen vista den player einfach nicht? verändert vista etwas?

I had this exact same problem some time ago on XP Prof and still don't have a clue what it is.
If you check the player.ini where the fastest times are entered, is it cut-off halfway by any chance? The only thing i gathered is that GPL exits abnormal and tries to rewrite the player.ini with update information and gets aborted in this process.
The only thing i really remember doing is copying the GPL folder to another harddisk (not just another partition) and since then, i didn't have this problem anymore. It could be a silly coincidence, but i do remember having that problem a number of times during days where i was ranking and where i exit and start GPL.exe a lot. But other than that, i still don't have a clue. And i certainly didn't have the problems of loosing any setups, at least, not that i know off.
Oh, just a tip, once your friend has got his settings right, copy the player folder as a backup.

Ich hab zwar auch Vista, aber schon wieder vergessen.
Mir ist aber so, als dürfe GPL nicht unter C/Programme liegen. Er soll mal C/GPL ophne Programme z.B. versuchen...

ich sagte ihm er solle virenscanner, schreibschutz und checken und als admin probieren. das werde ich ihm auch sagen.
er hats nicht installiert. nur meine files entpackt.
aber ich nutze meine files ja auch seit jahren und es funzt.
mh. was könnte einen player löschen, wenn man ihn verändert? doch nur schreibschutz - obwohl dann dürfte gar nix passieren.
