Answer from Dave (UKGPL):

Zitat:
Unfortunately I've promised the team that they wouldn't have to drive any tracks they were unfamiliar with at short notice, so that rules Norisring out for this season. If we organise the tracks at an earlier stage we could race on it next time, probably December on January 2010?

As alternatives, there are still Mosport and Mexico from the original line up, though we'd prefer not to race the Nurburgring as a team race. Otherwise any actual F1/F2 track from 1965-69 should be okay, preferably one we've some experience with- UKGPL have raced Jarama this season, as well as Imola, East London or GPLEA Clermont would be fine as well.

If we were to race another German circuit next season, how about a British club circuit this season, they seem similar in length and complexity? We've already raced Brands, but there's also Oulton, Snetterton or Goodwood?

What is our reaction?

Should we accept one of the proposed tracks?
Or should we insist?

Snetterton, Goodwood and Oulton are out of the question - stability problems.

Kind regards,
Carsten

only norisring and nurburgring remain.

lbi is much more complicated thn norisring. in addition i never drove there and i bet no one here else. mabye crstsen nad pedro.

i dunno, if they staart prcticing now norisrring it is only 4 turns in 11 days.

nd they will practice much more than me. ill praccy 30 mins at all, no time for gpl.

A British club circuit would be nice. Castle Combe is excellent.

Castle Combe... Your freeze there last time in the Modcup, was it track-related?

Kind regards,
Carsten

You remembered it very well!

I don't think and hope it was track-related.

How about Crystal Palace? Are they afraid of the Nordschleife?

That leave's Snetterton

Don't know what the cretera are for the track choise,
Don't know how many tracks they have driven.
Don't know what our options are.

I do know that if we insist, they will have a small driver field.
And thats not what we want .... doh.

I say, give them what they want.
Let them pick the track, and then we will beat them on there own territory

Good luck,

snetterton ?

was my first ironman and the track has holes in it. (the polygons are not covering the track fully so u can drive into a hole, which will crash gpl).

there were mass disconnects. its very very unsuited for multiplayer!

i dunno what the problem of ukgpl is.

we are not knowing what track to race either. but noriring is only 3 turns.

so why the fuss and race club circuits where disconnect are possible?

why not simply race norisring!

EHHH !!!

PEINLICH.

I don´t understand what´s the problem with the Norisring.
It´s only 4 corners, easy to learn.
We can offer them the Nürburgring, if they feel more comfortable with it´s 72 corners.
So like Pedro says, they should choose the track and we will hopefully beat them.
Doesn´t matter which track they will choose!

OK, that's the offer they can't refuse.

Thanks, guys.

Now it's up to them.

Hoffe mein Rechner is bald wieder fit.
