Hi, thought I would introduce myself - just joined EOLC.
I have been driving about 2 months - found the game in my drawer - had kept it for ten years meaning to come back to it. Then found on the internet GPL was still going strong.
Anyway so far I've been racing the 65 mod (also race as Vosblod). I have been practicing in the 67's and am planning to drive as a rookie on EOLC. I will no doubt be a backmarker to start with but getting good at safely being lapped 
I have signed up for Silverstone on Wednesday but getting confused as can't find a grid line-up to check. Also is there a VROC chatroom I should be using? And is the password given out in the chatroom?
My German isn't very good I'm afraid. Used to go to Germany a lot but not been for a few years...

Hi again Tim.
The application times you can check on the top right (click Rookie cup).
The Vroc-room is EOLC and the PW for the race will be given in the left menu bar and in the vroc-room.
English is no problem at all.

A list of the drivers who have already signed up for Wednesday is accessible via a link in the upper right corner of the website's frame.
As for the other cups (Challenge, Ironman, Oval Cup, Mod Cup), a grid classification is posted on raceday.
The chatrooms you will need are "eolc" and the chatroom of your grid (for example "grid_a" or "grid_c")
The password (PW) will be announced in the chatroom of your grid.
Just in case you had missed the announcement of the PW (for example when being late), the PW could also be found in the menu of EOLC.de (on the left-hand side).

Welcome, Newbie Tim!
Good news for us: a new driver for RookieCup!
Ouer chatroom in VROC is "EOLC". In RookieCup we meet us and start in this chatroom. The password get in this chatroom and you see it on the left side - when you logged in - on the EOLC website. For practise races you need no password.
My english is not the best. So I hope I understand what you mean: To announcement for RookieCup please use the "Application for the next race" under "Private section". You see the driver that would drive with you above left beside the speedometers, but first 10 days for the rookie race.
Momentually you see the participants for Watkins Glen. With race start on wednesday this week. I hope you start your EOLC career in already in Glen.

Hi Tim !
Welcome here at EOLC. I am relative new here. Only one race at Rouen (September 2008) i have drive some rounds (end upside-down in hairpin). Watkins is my 2nd race as rookie. I am not optimistic for complete 54 Rounds.

Hi Tim,
Welcome to Eolc and, in particular the Rookie Cup. Fabio claims to be the slowest rookie, but I can usually give him a good run for his money....... 
My German is almost nil but I have never had any problems here; everyone is very helpful and also very sportsmanlike. The only problem is they are also bloody fast !!!

"Für ein gutes Rennen ist der langsamste Fahrer genau so wichtig wie der schnellste." thats what u can read in my "steckbrief" and it means, that the slowest driver is equally important for a a good race, as the fastes one is. and thats a fakt, nobody likes to win with noone behind.
and that fakt kept me on going further, with somtimes more than a dozen laps down.
so, lets race!

Hi. Sincere apologies but I'm going to have to pull out of tonight - the joys of having three small children...
Wednesdays are usually good for me so I will definately be there for the next one on 19/11...
