Das Spiel (Autorennen mit Kästchen) kennt wohl jeder in Papierform, Flo und ich haben es oft in langweiligen Vorlesungen gespielt.
Nun gibt es es auch als online Spiel.

Das Spiel hab ich schon vor 4 Jahren gemacht, nachdem ein Kollege von mir in der Kaffeepause immer meinen Notizblock damit vollgekritzelt hat. Not macht erfinderisch
1. Installation:
Download [URL=http://www.eolc.de/Flo/PolyRace.zip]PolyRace[/URL] and extract the files into any Folder you want.
2. Playing Offline
Doubleklick Polyrace.exe . A window with a simple track opens . Select Menu Race->Start Race . Press the Number-Keys to bring the Player "Newbie" around the track.
There is also help in game at Menu ? -> Help.

3. Playing Online
You must start HORSe.exe on your own if you are playing in a LAN. For playing in the Internet you can skip the description of HORSe.exe . Start this little program on any single computer in the LAN. Per Default HORSe.exe listens on Port 4241 up to 4342 , depending on the number of simultaneous Races. ( maximal 100 here )
Starting without arguments opens a small Dialog asking for the above Port-intervall . Starting with Arguments HORSe.exe /minport 4241 /maxport 4341 does the same without prompting. A window showing a list of connected clients can be found in the taskbar then.
Every Player starts Porc.exe . If you start it, the Configuration Dialog opens. The given default values connect you to the EOLC Server via the Internet:

IP-Name of HORSe The IP-Address of the computer running HORSe.exe.
Portnumber The minimum port of HORSe's port interval.
Default Player Your player nickname. Keep it short.
PolyRace Path The full Path of PolyRace.exe on your computer. You may use file dialog to find it.
Then press Jump to connect to HORSe. On success the Racelist appears:

Join a race by doubleclicking its entry in the list or select it in the list and press Join Race. Polyrace starts together with a chatbox to welcome you. If a race is still running you can watch it. When it restarts you will take part.
Open a new race by pressing New Race. Polyrace starts with the message Searching for Moderator If someone creates new race at exactly the same time, you'll perhaps join his race. Else you become the Moderator, the administrator of the game. You decide the track to drive, restart the races, kick sleeping players etc. If you can't do this because you are sleeping yourself, another player may become Admin replacing you until you are back.

Hm war scheints ausversehen gelöscht 
Wenn Du mal offline gelernt hast wie es geht macht es online am meisten Spass.

Ziel ist, die Zugzahl pro Runde und Track zu minimieren, bzw. weniger als der Gegner zu benötigen und damit zu gewinnen.

Ab heute können wir Polyrace über den EOLC-Server miteinander spielen 
Benutzt dazu beim Starten von Porc.exe mit folgende Parameter:

und die zentrale Raceliste erscheint.
