 Problem wit VROC chat | |
I read that if I wanna start in race I need to take the password in EOLC chat room on VROC...but there´s a little problem. I can´t join the chat, my VROC show me some error message when I start the chat. I tried to do something with it but I still does´t work.
Is there another way to join the chatroom? For example with Mirc??

The error message is:
"Unexpectedly disconnected from the chat server. Check your connection and try to reconnect."
I also dont know how to help him  Any advice, guys? Thx
PS: Na ja, ist zwar keine Weihnachtsmann Thema, aber wenn sie Karel helfen können, es wird sicher schönes Geschenk für ihn

Had a similar problem a while ago.
First you should check out your port settings in VROC options. It's 6667 by default. Also make sure that your firewall doesn't block it.
Hope it solves that problem.

that´s the problem...I try everything you say...all firewalls off and settings same as others...it must be some kind of black magic

Do you use Windows XP with service pack 2? There is a firewall in SP2, tried to disable it?

I turned off all firewalls, the winXp firewall too...but still the same problem...

OK Karel,
open a DOS-Box and type this:
ftp
open 217.10.142.247 6667
This will open a connection to IRC-chat. If all firewalls are off you should get a message like this:
[IMG]http://www.eolc.de/SP/IRC.JPG[/IMG]
If not please tell me the message shown.
