Edit Race Length ? | |
Is there a variable I can change to make, for example, a novice race 4 laps instead of 9 ?
I'm planning a little Lan-party for some of my non-racing friends using only two PCs. That means I'll need to have a lot of short heats, followed by semi-finals etc. etc.
A utility called "GPL race length editor" is listed at RSC, but I can't find a link to it - It's probably quite old.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hello Glenn!
You find the race length in the season.ini (in GPL directrory). If you have installed MODs the name is eventually 67season.ini.
In season.ini you find for any track -examle for kyalami - this:
Zitat: [Event1]
name=South African Grand Prix
shortname=South African GP
trackDirectory=kyalami
month=1
day=2
numberOfLaps=80
startingGrid=4
The number of laps is the number of laps in GP mode. The short races have 15% of GP, the long races 30%.
If you changed the number of laps in this case (Kyalami) to 40, you have in short race modus only 7,5% race distance, and so on.
I wish much fun by the party!
Greetings Olaf
