Hallo,

nach langer Abstinenz und ohne Trainingsaufwand gleich in Grid A zu starten, da war der Schock natürlich groß
Die Quali war okay, eine 15er Zeit wäre drin gewesen, wenn ich nicht in der besten Runde kurz vor Schluß einen kapitalen Fehler gemacht hätte. An 11. Stelle platziert, nahm ich dann das Rennen auf.
Durch einen üblichen schwachen Start wurde ich gleich mal bis auf die vorletzte Stelle durchgereicht, aber da vor mir etliche Fahrzeuge verunglückten, kam ich Mitte des Rennens bis auf Platz 9. nach vorne. Hinter mir drängten Mitja und Hans-Bodo, doch beide patzten ein ums andere mal, so daß ich mich zu meiner eigenen Überraschung etliche Runden vor diesen beiden Aliens halten konnte. Mitja stieg dann nach einem weiteren Abflug aus dem Rennen aus und nun saßen mir Hans-Bodo und Seb im Genick. Erst genannten ließ ich passieren, da ich seiner Geschwindigkeit nichts zuzusetzen hatte, doch Sebs Ferrari war zu schwachbrüstig und nach einer Weile hatte ich einen komfortablen Vorsprung. Dann die letzte Runde: Carstens Eagle war auf einmal in Schlagweite und ich pushte was das Zeug hielt um noch einmal an ihn ran zu kommen und womöglich gar zu überholen. Alles oder nichts lautete die Devise. Leider nichts am Ende, denn in einer Kurve verlor ich den Bodenkontakt und mein Eagle drehte sich wie ein Brummkreisel . Nun kam auch Seb mit einem Schlag näher und ich hatte Mühe ihn zumindest noch abzuwehren. Dies gelang mit minimalem Vorsprung, als Zehnter rettete ich mich ins Ziel.
Grats an Yilmaxx für seinen tollen Sieg und an Marco und Carsten für Platz 2 + 3
Die nächsten Rennen sind nun nach meinem Geschmack: Ovale so weit das Auge reicht

Grats Horst zu der Leistung.

Mein Rennen war gelinde gesagt völlig daneben. Baute 3 Unfälle und hatte Glück, dass ich keinen mitgerissen habe, somit sollte ich ohne gelbe davonkommen. Danach passte der Speed aber auch noch nicht. Nur gut, dass meine Hassstrecken jetzt vorbei sind, also kanns losgehen.

Hallo Bodo,

danke für das Kompliment, aber nach deinem 3. Unfall (da wo du den Hang hochgeritten bist und auf die Fahrbahn zurückgeschleudert wurdest), musste ich deinem Boliden nach rechts ausweichen und knallte dabei in die Bande. Danach fühlte sich mein Eagle nicht mehr so fit an, das optimale Fahrgefühl war irgendwie dahin

Sry, aber konnte in der Situation nix mehr machen...flog über den Hügel drüber und rutschte auf der anderen Seite wieder runter. Weiters kamen die gelben Flaggen wirklich spät raus. Hatte das gleiche Erlebnis in Runde 2 oder 3 in dem Geschlängel vor der Gerade nach Masta. An der Ecke gelbe Flaggen und dann gleich der Crash 2 Meter weiter. Die Streckenposten waren wohl am Vortag feiern.

Hallo H.B,

ich mache dir auch keinen Vorwurf, kann jedem mal passieren. Bei dem besagten Massenunfall kurz vorher hatte ich auch Mordsdusel. Meine Frau Marina spielte am anderen PC GW und ich linste kurz rüber und hätte fast die vor mir verstreuten Autos übersehen . Mit viel Glück kam ich ohne Blessuren an allen vorbei

Viel habe ich von meinem Rennen eigentlich auch nicht zu schreiben, einfach super

Mit meiner Qualizeit war ich nicht ganz zufrieden, da ich deutlich stärker mit Hbk gerechnet habe. Umso schöner, dass dann der Abstand doch so gross war.

Das Rennen war bis auf kleinere Schrecksekunden eigentlich sehr locker. Obwohl ich nicht sehr gepusht habe wurde der Abstand zu Marco kontinuierlich grösser.

Das Interessanteste war da noch die erste Runde... nach einem schlechten Start von mir gleich 2 Plätze verloren. Auf der Geraden zur Masta erst Windschatten von Mitja dann von Hans Bodo und somit vorbei an beiden. Die Szene zu "3 nebeneinander vor Masta" ist echt sehenswert

So kann es weitergehen,

Grats Yilmaz, bist wirklich stark gefahren. Jedoch war dein Spurwechsel vor Masta ziemlich knapp vor meiner Nase, dacht schon, dass das nicht gut gehen kann, zumindest aus meiner Sicht im Rennen. Ich war im Quali schon froh überhaupt eine 3.12. zu fahren, hatte keinen guten Tag und war auch sonst nie wirklich schnell in Spa. Jedenfalls musst bei den nächsten Rennen wieder mehr mit mir rechnen.

I really didn't have time to practice Spa and that's why I had problems in Qual and in Race - for Spa one needs a feeling for each corner - and I missed that particulary on Masta and the second part of the lap...
I had a poor qualifing time but I knew I could do better in the race - after a poor start I lost one position but after L'Eau Rouge I regained it and also passed Carsten
Then I passes a spinning Eagle in Masta and on the second lap I just managed to pass a spinning H-B in L'Eau Rouge (that was really tight ) but that nearly cost me one place - I really had to fight hard with Carsten
Then I chased Marco but I made a mistake and lost about 5s - the car felt funny for first 2 laps but nothing was broken. After that I put a few fast laps and nearly got Carsten but then I made a second mistake - this time in L'Eau Rouge and lost another 8 seconds...
That was really pity because this might have been a nice fight for the podium - I think that 2nd position was possible...
In the last 3-4 laps I took it easy and achieved some fast lap times

Congratulations to everyone who finished the race and especially to Yilmaz, Marco & Carsten

Grats Yilmaz & Marco!

The race went pretty well for me. At the start I tried to leave room for everyone who might be alongside my car. I couldn't see Patrick because of the blind spots, so I was a bit surprised to see him on the right at the exit of Eau rouge. That 3-wide on the straight with Wojciech on the right, Patrick in the middle and me on the left was a bit too close for my taste .

1st lap, righthander onto Masta straight: Wojciech and Patrick run wide, Patrick has to lift. Enough to give me the chance of passing. Thanks Patrick for lifting on the straight.

By passing spinning cars I got into 4th position. After Wojciech's mistake I was in 3rd.

Wojciech came quite near 2 times, but when he had the chance to get into my slipstream, he did a mistake. So I tried to catch Marco. But I started to do errors. I think I'd have needed 3 more laps to have a good oppurtunity for passing.
Nice race it was.


I won't have the possibility to take part in the oval races. I'll be on holidays the next 2 weeks (in Italy).
Have fun in the ovals and don't forget how to drive righthanders.

yes I know Carsten, I saw in the replay after the race that you had to give way.
Nogaski passed me on the right side while I was passing you.
He slowly moved left to get a better line for the righthander after Eau Rouge, I think he didn´t knew that there still are 2 cars to his left side.
I waited till there nearly was a contact and prayed that I already completely had passed you and also moved left.

After the race I wanted to apologize to you about this, but at the moment I was typing you left the chat room, so I changed it into a generel excuse about my start because it was a bit risky.
But thankfully to you it went fine.

I tried to catch up to you in the earlier laps, but about in Lap 4 my Joystick had an input failure in Masta as the steering shortly switched to full right.
And I spun and lost 5th position to Chis Kolnhofer.

I could overtake Chris later , who drove a very consistent race
and finished 5th.

No need to apologize, no one of us three.

I never really was alongside of you, Patrick. So I had the best view of what was happening. Which means that it was my job to react.
Good thing was that you changed the lanes slowly. So I had plenty of time to think of what could happen next.
It would have been my stupidity not to lift.

Knowing that the Eagles are quicker, I also could have thought about lifting earlier . It would have been easier for you.
In the middle between two cars isn't where I'd like to be in a race. Wether it works depends on what the drivers on the left and right think. And somehow they all want the same racing line .

I also think that Wojciech couldn't know that there was another car. In a situation like his, I'd have done the same.

That sunday I still had to do some work for school, that's why I left the chat early.
I always enjoy the chat after the race, but this time I couldn't stay longer. Sorry.
